These workshops cover all aspects of the topic, details of two recent workshops will give you an idea of the depth.
Bolting Workshop
Friday Meet at Bryce's 7pm. Outline of weekend. Discuss participants experience and plans over a complimentary drink and tailor the workshop to your requirements.
Subjects covered included:
- History of bolting, ethics and unwritten rules
- Placing and removing of compression, glue-ins and expansion bolts
- Discussion of advantages & disadvantages of various types of bolting systems
- Hands on use of D.I.Y, Petzl & Hilti bolting systems
- Building, testing belays
- Rebolting, retrobolting and the questions raised
- How to find your first new route
Big Wall Seminar
Friday Meet at Bryce's 7pm. Outline of weekend. Discuss participants experience and plans over a complimentary drink and tailor the workshop to your requirements.
Subjects covered included:
- Equipment: Look at and discuss. Gear lists
- Mental attitude / approach (on the wall)
- Physical preparation / training: fitness, aid climbing, crack climbing, systems
- Belays
- Setting up / breaking camp: haulbag, portaledge, loo, sleeping, tying on
- Food & Water
- Accommodation on & off the wall
- Jumaring, lowering out
- Weather
- Hauling
- Climbing, changing over at belays
- French Free
- Escape / lowering / abseiling past knots
- Spend a night on a portaledge if you wish
These workshops are run on demand by arrangement all year round.

Costs
$440 per day 1-2 people, extras $50 each per day, preferred maximum four people.
Some workshops require additional costs for materials eg. Bolting
Accommodation from $25 per night per person.
Make up a group or come by yourself. Guaranteed to be informative and fun, run by Bryce himself.
